Honey Chicken

A Rosh Hashanah staple

Honey Chicken


  • 1 cup Catalina French dressing

  • 1 cup Honey

  • 8 chicken breasts

  • 1 large can of yams

  • Flour

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Butter or margarine


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

  2. Mix dressing and honey together and set aside

  3. Dust chicken in flour seasoned with salt and pepper

  4. Fry in a large skillet until golden brown

  5. Transfer the chicken and the yams into a baking pan with the dressing and honey mixture, and 1/2 the liquid from the yams

  6. Bake for 30 minutes
