Meet Your Dinner Party Strategist, Alexandra Strick

Alexandra has been a resident of New York City since 2009. Over the course of her time in New York, she has hosted countless dinner parties.

In 2012 she moved into a studio apartment and was faced with a challenge- how could she maintain her love for hosting elaborate and comfortable sit down dinner parties in a 300 sq ft space? With some strategy and creativity she taught herself how to manipulate the design and functions of her space and furniture to create a seemingly limitless number of atmospheres to serve an equally limitless number of purposes.

Prior to launching The Hostess in the Studio Apartment, Alexandra worked in a number of international business development and sales strategy roles. In 2020 she opened LETS Americas, the international arm of LETS Marketing - legal marketing consulting firm based in Brazil, Alexandra worked as a Business Development Executive with Euromoney Institutional Investor’s Legal Media Group. At Euromoney Alexandra was instrumental in driving Euromoney into new South American markets through the establishment of key business relationships. She is known throughout the company not only for her business initiatives, but also for her enthusiasm for bringing her coworkers together, and creating a atmosphere of community within the company, though taking on roles on the charity committee, and organizing a company wide book club and bowling team.

Alexandra started her career on the commercial team of the world’s largest translation company, working between New York and Barcelona. She then joined a leading Spain-based software company to help them grow into the US market.

Alexandra holds a BA in Art History and Italian Studies from New York University, as well as an MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business.
