Manchego Cheese and Fig Jam Montaditos


Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf French baguette

  • Olive oil

  • 8 ounces Manchego cheese

  • 8.5 ounces Fig jam

  • 3 Fresh figs, quartered

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.

  2. Thinly slice the baguette, then arrange pieces on a baking sheet and quickly toast them in the oven for 5-10 minutes. You want the bread to be lightly crispy but soft in the middle.

  3. Once the baguette toast is cooled off, spread a small covering of olive oil on the each piece of toast, then place a slice of Manchego on each, then spread fig jam on top of the cheese

  4. Top each with a piece with quarter of a fresh fig before serving (optional)
