Cranberry Meatballs

About the Recipe

Best served on toothpicks. The perfect appetizer to start a party!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef or ground turkey

  • BBQ Sauce

  • Cranberry Sauce

  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • salt

  • pepper

  • 2 large eggs

  • Matzo meal or breadcrumbs

Preparation

  1. Combine equal parts BBQ Sauce, cranberry sauce, lemon juice, and cup brown sugar and a pinch of salt and mix well in a large pot on the stove top to make the sauce

  2. Cook on medium heat till boiling, then reduce heat to a simmer

  3. Combine ground beef/ turkey, eggs and matzo meal in a bowl, and add salt and pepper. Mix all of the ingredients well with your hands, and roll out small meatballs about 1/4 inch in diameter, and drop into the simmering sauce on the stove top

  4. Cook on a simmer for about 1 hour, or until delicious

  5. Serve hot, though for best flavor, let cool and refrigerate and reheat and serve the next day
