Hot Spiced Apple Cider

Hot Spiced Apple Cider


  • 1 quart apple cider

  • 3 (3-inch each) cinnamon sticks

  • 2 whole cloves

  • 1 orange, sliced

  • 2 (3-inch) strips orange peel for garnish


  1. Add all ingredients to a large saucepan or pot and bring to medium-high heat. Once simmering, cover, reduce heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.

  2. Serve hot on its own or add a dash of bourbon to make it a boozy hot toddy.

  3. For entertaining, you can keep the cider warm in a slow cooker or on the lowest setting on the stovetop.
