Garlic Bread

About the Recipe

All you need is a fresh Baguette, generous heaps of butter, garlic powder, and a splash of paprika for color to make the perfect garlic bread.


  • 1 large Baguette, or Italian bread, sliced in half the long way

  • Salted butter, at room temperature (margarine also works)

  • Garlic Powder (you could also use fresh minced garlic)

  • Paprika

  • Shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)

  • Parsley (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

  2. Slice the baguette down the middle.

  3. Generously butter both sides of the baguette

  4. Coat with garlic powder and paprika to your liking

  5. Optional - sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top

  6. Optional- sprinkle parsley (fresh or dried) on top

  7. Put the two slices of bread on top of each other (like a sandwich) and put on a piece of tin foil

  8. cut slices in the baguette sandwich, to make individual pieces, but leaving the loaf otherwise intact

  9. Cover the baguette in tin foil and cook till golden and toasty (about 10 min)

  10. Serve hot!
