Chicken Pot Pie

Chicken Pot Pie


Ingredients:

  • Pie crust pastry for double sided pie

  • 1 cup frozen peas

  • 1 cup chopped carrots

  • 1/2 cup mushrooms

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 1/3 cup flour

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • 3/4 cup milk

  • 3 cups chopped chicken or turkey (cooked)

Directions:


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

  2. Prepare pie crust dough and bake bottom curst in a pie tin at 425 degrees for 10 min

  3. Melt butter in pan, add flour to make a roux, and add chicken broth

  4. Add the veggies and chicken/ turkey into the pan mixture, and cook until heated through.

  5. Add milk and cook until bubbly, then pour the entire mixture into the cooked pie shell, and cover with the additional pie shell

  6. Bake for 40 min at 375 degrees
