Chocolate Covered Matzoh

Sweet, crunchy and addictive

Chocolate Covered Matzoh

Makes about 30 pieces


  • 4 matzoh boards

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 stick butter or margarine

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 bag (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips

  • 12 ounces chocolate chips or chunks


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, and cover a large cookie tray with foil

  2. Line the tray with matzoh, breaking it apart as needed to make it fit/ cover the entire tray, and sprinkle with salt

  3. In a small saucepan, bring the butter and sugar to a boil. Pour the mixture evenly over the matzoh.

  4. Bake for 10- 15 min or until matzo is lightly browned

  5. Remove pan from oven and sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Spread the melting chocolate all over the matzoh and let cool.

  6. When cool, transfer into the freezer, and freeze until time to serve
