Classic Mac & Cheese
Ingredients:
1 lb pasta (elbow macaroni)
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
6 cups milk
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or blend of your favorite cheeses)
Directions:
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat
Stir in flour and salt. Cook 1 minute stirring constantly
Add milk, stir to blend, and bring to a low steady simmer.
Add uncooked pasta, cover and simmer gently for 8 minutes (stirring occasionally). the mixture will thicken while cooking.
Remove from heat. Add in the cheese, and stir gently until all of the cheese is melted.
Let sit for 5 minutes, then serve!
